The very next weekend we visited two gorgeous venues including The Palmer Building (http://www.thepalmerbuilding.com/) and The Point Lake and Golf Club (http://www.the-pointclub.com/events.htm). Mike was especially keen on The Point but our wallets didn't share the same sentiment. We set out again a few weeks later to visit A Roof With a View (http://www.roofwithaview.com/) ...discovered online while Google-ing "Charlotte wedding venues". It was there that we were directed to visit Byron's Southend (http://byronssouthend.com/index2.php#/home/) - located just south of the city, it was one of only a few venues in the metro area that would fit our ever expanding guest list.
After a few laps around the unidentified building...and some harmless stalking of caterers setting up for an event that day, we were allowed to check out the facility. Similar to my first introduction to Mike ... it was love at first sight! The facility was just what we didn't realize we were looking for. After a week of careful contemplation, we booked it! Check out the video of Mike giving us an exclusive first look at the Reception venue (please excuse the camera work). FYI - the ceremony will be held in a neighboring building called The Atrium.
So...that's the story of the venue. COMING SOON: The Wedding Party!
